GULAB JAMUN
Gulab jamun is a popular dessert in India. The flour is made into balls and deep fried and put in the sugar syrup flavored with cardamom and saffron. Gulab means rosewater. You can add rosewater to the syrup.

Main Ingredients : Jamun mix and Sugar

Ingredients:

Jamun Mix - 1 pkt

Sugar - 3 cups

Water - 1/2 cup

Saffron - a pinch

Cardamom powder - 1 tsp

Oil to fry - 3 cups

Preparation :

  • Add water to the mix and make a soft dough. Keep it aside for 10 mins
  • Then Heat the pan with Oil to fry.
  • In another pan, Add water, sugar and cardamom powder. Stir it till the sugar dissolves.
  • Turn the heat off.
  • Then make small balls out of dough. (It can be bullet shape too) Make real small so that when put in syrup, it be bigger.
  • Fry the balls till it is brown.
  • Put it in the syrup and leave it for 2 hours.

  • Garnish with Saffron.
Serve it hot or cold.
