BASUNDHI

It is one of my fav dish, i love this sweet very much. Tried making a couple of times, this time it was nice. Just milk and sugar with some nuts gives a excellent taste.

Cuisine : Indian

Preparation time : 5 mins

Cooking time : 1 hour

Course : Sweet

Main Ingredient : Milk

Ingredients :

Milk - 4 cups

Sugar - 2 cups

Cardamon - 2 crushed

Saffron - 4 to 5 strings

Nuts - Pista or Almonds chopped


Preparation :

  • In a heavy bottom pan, pour milk and keep the heat in low medium.
  • Slowly take the milk skin which forms in the top of the milk. Collect it in a separate bowl.
  • Do the process till the milk reduces to 1 cup.


  • Then to the rest of the milk add sugar, saffron, cardamon and chopped nuts. 
  • Now turn off the heat and add all the milk skin to the milk.
  • Let it cool down for few mins and then refrigerate it.



Serve it cold after few hours.
