TOMATO CHUTNEY
Chutney is a pasty sauce used in Indian cuisine. Chutneys are usually wet, having a coarse to fine texture. Tomato chutney is a easy one to make.

Cooking time : 20 mins

Course : condiment

Main Ingredient : Tomato

Ingredients :

Tomato - 2 nos

Onion - 1 nos

Red chilli - 5

Chilli powder - 1 Tbsp

Turmeric - 1 Tbsp

Oil - 1 Tbsp

Salt to taste

Curry leaves

Preparation :

  • Add oil to the pan, heat it.
  • Add chopped tomato, onion, chilli and cook.
  • Grind the above into fine paste.
  • Heat the pan, add oil, add seasoning and curry leaves.
  • Add the ground past with chilli powder, turmeric and salt.
  • Cook till oil separates.
  • Garnish with cilantro.
Serve it with Idly, Dosa, Chappathi.
