Easy and Quick Adai

ADAI

Adai is a type of dosa usualy served as a Break fast item. It is a mixture of lentils and rice. No need of fermenting. It is usually served with Aviyal.

Preparation time : 15 mins

Cooking time : 5 mins

Course : Main Course

Main Ingredients : Lentils and Rice

Ingredients :

Channa dal - 3 cups

Rice (Pacharisi ) - 1.5 cups

Red Chilli - 15

Onion chopped - 1 cup

Curry leaves - few

Coconut diced - 1/2 cup

Kayam - 1 tsp

Salt to taste

Oil - 1 tbsp

Preparation :

  • Soak rice and channa dal for 1 hour
  • Grind it with Red chilli and kayam
  • Add Coconut, onion, curry leaves and salt
  • Place a tava, heat it
  • Make as a dosa, cook and serve.
Serve it hot with a small piece butter on top. Goes well with sugar, chutney, aviyal
