VEGETABLE BIRYANI
Its a set of rice based foods made with spices, veggie, egg. Biryani is used to denote a dish where rice is cooked separately from the thick sauce. The curry and rice are then brought together and layered.

Main Ingredient : Veg, Basmati rice
Ingredients :
For Masala
Onion - 1 cup
Tomato - 1 cup
Green chilli - 3 nos
Chilli powder - 1 Tbsp
Turmeric - 1 Tbsp
Coriander Powder - 1 Tbsp
Garlic - 1 Tbsp
Ginger - 1 Tbsp
Jeera - 1 Tsp
Cinnamon - 1 stick
Cardamom - few
Bay leaf - 1
Clove - 2
Vegetables :
Carrot - 1/2 cup
Potato - 1/2 cup
Cauliflower - 1 cup
Green beans - 1/2 cup
Soya Chunks - 1/2 cup
For rice :
Basmati rice - 1 & 1/2 cup
Saffron - 1 Tsp
Mixed nuts
Oil to saute
Butter - 1 stick
Salt to taste
Preparation :
- Soak the rice with saffron and few drops of veg oil. Let it be for 1 to 2 hours
- Heat a saute pan, add few drops of oil, saute all under masala head. Till the oil separates.
- Add chopped veg into the masala. Do not add water.
- You can add any kind of nuts to it (optional)
- For basmati rice add one and a half cup of water for one cup of rice so, now add 2 & 1/2 cup water.
- Add every thing in a electric rice cooker, add salt.
- Cut the butter and add over it, in the top.
- Set your setting in the rice cooker and let it cook
- Take out when it is Al dente.
- You can garnish with Coriander leaves.
Serve it hot, with raitha or any dry curry
