Vegetable Pulao
Pulao may be made by cooking the items together. Pulao is an Indian dish of vegetables and basmati rice cooked with special flavoring and spices.

Main Ingredient : Veg and Basmati rice

Ingredients :

Carrot - 1/2 cup (diced)

Peas - 1 cup

Serrano Pepper - 5

Jeera - 1 tbsp

Cinnamon Stick - 1

Cloves - 5

Cardamom - 5

Cashew - 10

Ginger garlic chopped - 2 tbsp

Bay leaves - 2

Cilantro leaves - 1/2 cup

Mint - 1/2 cup

Green chillis - 10

Star anise - 2

Mace - 2

Butter - 1/4 stick

Basmati Rice - 2 cups

Saffron - 1 tsp

Salt to taste

Oil - 2 tbsp

Preparation :

  • Soak the rice in water for 1 to 2 hours with few drops of oil and saffron.
  • Heat a pan, add butter. Add all spices, ginger garlic and saute.
  • Add veggies, cilantro and mint leaves to the pan.
  • After it is done, add to the electric rice cooker with the rice into it.
  • Add salt , cook till it is done.
Serve it hot with some dry curry , raita.
