CABBAGE PORIYAL

One of the easy vegetables to cook. You can add carrots peas to this dish to enrich the taste. You can also add little onion, ginger and also Split chick pea to that.

Main Ingredients : Cabbage

Ingredients :


Cabbage - chopped 2 cups

Channa dal - 1 tbsp

Green chilli - 5 split into half

Mustard and urud dal for seasoning - 1 tbsp

Curry leaves few

Oil - 1 tbsp

Coconut shredded - 1 tbsp

Salt to taste

Preparation :



  • Heat a pan, add oil. Add mustard, urud dal, curry leaves.
  • Then add channa dal and green chilli, fry well.
  • Add chopped cabbage to the pan, close with the lid.
  • Allow till it is cooked, now add salt and shredded coconut.
  • You can also add Onion Chopped to the dish, you can cook with cabbage. It is optional. 
Serve it hot with rice or even chapathi
