CORIANDER RICE / KOTHAMALLI SADAM
Coriander rice is a south Indian dish, made by using boiled rice, coriander paste, channa dal, jeera and salt. Very tasty dish

Main Ingredients : Rice and Coriander leaves

Ingredients :

Rice cooked - 4 cups

Coriander leaves - 1 cup

Green chilli - 4 nos

Peanuts - 1/2 cup

Channa dal - 1 tbsp

Jeera - 1tbsp

Seasoning - 1 tbsp

Curry leaves few

Salt to taste

Preparation :

  • Pressure cook rice. Add little oil in top and just make it loose.
  • Heat a pan, add oil.
  • Now add seasoning, curry leaves and jeera
  • Grind chilli and coriander leaves together.
  • Add peanuts and channa dal to the pan. Saute well.
  • Now add the paste that was ground.
  • Then mix it with the rice.
  • Add salt to the mix. Garnish with Coriander leaves
Serve it with appalam
