White Radish

WHITE RADISH / MULLANGHI PODIMAS

Mullanghi is such a boring item using in Sambhar. So change the idea and use as a side dish for rice or chapathi. It is so healthy and tasty too. I never knew that we can make Radish as a side dish, because in my house they used to cook them only for sambhar. But this recipe was my Mother-in-law's recipe, she was the one who introduced me to this. She told me one day that lets make Radish Podimas, i was like what how can you make, because when you cook radish you kind of get that smell, which i don't like, but when cooked with sambhar the radish's smell will be gone. So i asked her will it be good to make so, and she said it will be so good and then taught me how to make it. So will thank her for this recipe. She used to make different recipes, and few thinks i have learned from her after my marriage. She used to cook all kinds of snack if we are there in her place. She used to make very traditional cooking, no pasta or paneer but all traditional cooking. Which will have that excellent aroma.

So this in this recipe you need not cook the radish separately in a cooker or pan, just shred them and drop them in the pan as such. Because it cooks really fast. So clean, peel of the skin and then shred them. Then cook.
Lets see how to make my MIL recipe !!!
