PASTA

Pasta is a generic term for noodles from an unleavened dough of wheat and water, sometimes with other ingredients such as egg and vegetable extract. There are hundreds of different shape of pasta. (Spaghetti, maccheroni, fusilli and lasagna) The most famous varieties and recipe come from Italy.

Course : Entrée

Main Ingredient : Penne Pasta

Ingredients :

Penne Pasta - 2 cups

Olive oil - 2 tbsp

Carrots - cubbed 1 cup

Zucchini - cut 1 cup

Salt to taste

Basil and tomato sauce - 1 cup

Italian herbs - 2 tbsp

Chili Flakes - 2 tbsp

Mozzarella & Parmesan Cheese - Shredded - 2 tbsp

Preparation :

  • In a pan add water salt and oil. Leave it to boil. Then add pasta, cook till tender. Then drain the water.
  • Heat the oil in a frying pan, Add all vegetable and cook till soft.
  • Then in a pan, add oil. Now add chili flakes, Italian herbs and the sauce.

  • Now add vegetables. Sauté well, Cook for few minutes.

  • In another pan add little olive oil and chili flakes. Add Cooked pasta and Sauté.
  • Now pasta to the mix. Add salt to taste
  • Top it with Cheese.
Serve it hot
