PARUPU VADAI

IT is a different vada, not the same parupu vadai. It is made out of sombu and ginger.

Preparation time : 1 hour

Cooking time : 5 mins

Course : Snack

Main Ingredient : Channa dal

Ingredients :

Channa dal - 2 cups

Red chili - 1/2 cup

Sombu - 2 tbsp

Ginger - chopped 1 tbsp

Salt to taste

Curry leaves

Oil to fry

Preparation :
  • Soak Channa dal for 2 hours and grind all ingredients with it. With little amount of water.
  • Take the ground paste in a bowl.
  • In a pan, pour oil and wait till the oil is hot.
  • Then from the ground paste, make small balls and flatten it and drop in the oil.
  • Fry till it turns brown.
Serve it hot with chutney
