DAL FRY AND JEERA RICE


Jeera Rice and Dal fry is very good combo. Works out good. You can make any dry veggie for a good dinner.

Main Ingredients : Dal and Rice

Ingredients for Jeera rice : 

Jeera - 2 tbsp

Butter - 5 tbsp even more as required

Salt to taste

Basmati rice - soaked for 1 hr - 2 cups

Cinnamon - 1

Bay leaves - 1

Preparation :

  • Put the soaked rice in the Electric rice cooker.
  • Now with little ghee add jeera, cinnamon  and bay leaves saute well.
  • Then add it with rice. Add little salt and butter.
  • Cook it.
Ingredients for Dal Fry :

Thuvar Dal - 1 cup cooked

Jeera - 1 tbsp

Tomato - chopped 1 cup

Turmeric - 1 tsp

Chili powder - 1 Tbsp

Curry leaves

Cilantro

Salt to taste

Preparation :


  • In a kadai add 1 tbsp of oil and then Jeera, curry leaves and tomato.
  • Let it cook for some more time and then add Chili powder , Turmeric and salt
  • Now add the cooked Dal to the kadai and mix together.
  • Garnish with Cilantro

Serve both with Any fried item
