Jeera Rice and Dal fry is very good combo. Works out good. You can make any dry veggie for a good dinner.

Main Ingredients : Dal and Rice
Ingredients for Jeera rice :
Jeera - 2 tbsp
Butter - 5 tbsp even more as required
Salt to taste
Basmati rice - soaked for 1 hr - 2 cups
Cinnamon - 1
Bay leaves - 1
Preparation :
- Put the soaked rice in the Electric rice cooker.
- Now with little ghee add jeera, cinnamon and bay leaves saute well.
- Then add it with rice. Add little salt and butter.
- Cook it.
Ingredients for Dal Fry :
Thuvar Dal - 1 cup cooked
Jeera - 1 tbsp
Jeera - 1 tbsp
Tomato - chopped 1 cup
Turmeric - 1 tsp
Chili powder - 1 Tbsp
Curry leaves
Cilantro
Salt to taste
Preparation :
Turmeric - 1 tsp
Chili powder - 1 Tbsp

Cilantro
Salt to taste
Preparation :
- In a kadai add 1 tbsp of oil and then Jeera, curry leaves and tomato.
- Let it cook for some more time and then add Chili powder , Turmeric and salt
- Now add the cooked Dal to the kadai and mix together.
- Garnish with Cilantro
Serve both with Any fried item
