SEMIYA UPMA

Main Ingredients : Semiya

Ingredients :

Semiya/ Vermicelli - 1 cup roasted

Carrots shredded - 1/2 cup

Peanuts - 2 tbsp

Channa dal - 1 tbsp

Kaduku/ Urud dal - 1 tbsp

Chili - chopped 1 tbsp

Tomato - chopped 1/2 cup

Salt as required

Curry leaves 

Preparation :

  • In a kadai add 1 tbsp of oil, start with kaduku, ullundham parupu, curry leaves with a pinch of kayam
  • Add peanut and channa dal to it. 
  •  Now saute well, and then add tomato and chili to it. 
  •  Add water and salt as required.
  • Let the water come to a boil
  • Now u can add the roasted semiya. Wait till all the water is absorbed and cooked.

Serve it hot with chutney.
