Chocolate Oatmeal

Very simple and easy Breakfast. Most of the days in the week, I used to take this for the breakfast. Very simple and also you can add nuts and fruits to enhance the taste. It is just perfect Breakfast. I usually add walnuts and raisins to it, if i had any fruits i add. Like Bananas, strawberries, blueberries, Blackberries, Apples, nuts like almonds. You can chop all the fruits and add it to the oatmeal, such a refreshing Breakfast.
So this time i really wanted a change and my kid also stared eating Oatmeal. You have flavors in the pack but you don't get Chocolate flavor so i just thought i can add some flavor to the plain oats. So I decided to add some chocolate powder to it and few chocolate chip to garnish. Was just awesome and my kid loved it. Yum!!!!
Ingredients :
Oats - 1 packet (plain oats preferably)
Flax seed - 1 tbsp (Optional)
Milk - 1 cup
walnuts - 1 tbsp
Raisins - 1 tbsp
Chocolate Powder - 1 tbsp
Chocolate chip - Few
Preparation :
- In a bowl, add milk, flax seed and oats. I used Microwave for like 3 mins to cook the Oatmeal.
- When it is like two minutes you can open the microwave and add the chocolate powder to the oatmeal. Mix really well till it is nicely incorporated. After one more minute of cooking you can add the walnuts and the raisin.
- It should be nice and mushy, then everything is cooked. Without cooking the oatmeal we should not and can not eat.
- Yummy breakfast is ready.
