Cauliflower Manchurian

It is an adaption of Chinese seasoning and cooking techniques to Indian taste. The cuisine is believed to have originated from the Chinese of Calcutta and Chinese food is still popular there.

Cooking time : 40 mins

Course : Appetizer

Main Ingredient : Cauliflower

Ingredients :

Cauliflower 1

Onions - 1/2 cup

Green Chilli - 3 nos

Garlic - 1 Clove chopped

Maida - 2 Tbsp

Rice flour - 2 Tbsp

Chilli Powder - 1 Tbsp

Turmeric - 1 Tbsp

Soy sauce - 1 Tbsp

Chilli Sauce - 1 Tbsp

Tomato Sauce - 1 Tbsp

Oil to fry

Salt to taste

Coriander Leaves to garnish

Preparation:

  • Separate the florets and put it inside the hot water for few mins
  • Make batter with maida, riceflour, chilli powder, turmeric, little garlic, salt.
  • Heat the pan with oil to deep fry the cauliflower.
  • Coat the cauliflower florets in the batter and deep fry it in the oil.
  • In another pan, add few drops of oil, add garlic, onion, chilli and saute.
  • Add the fried cauliflower in the saute pan.
  • Add all sauce, salt.
  • Garnish with Coriander leaves.
  • Serve it hot.
