Daal
The split bean is known as Moong dal. Moong Daal is mainly cultivated in India. It is a tropical crop, require warm temperatures.

Preparation Time : 10 mins

Cooking Time : 30 mins

Course : Side dish

Main Ingredient : Moong Dal

Ingredients :

Moong dal - 2 cups

Tomato - 1

Green Chilli - 10

Garlic - 3 cloves

Ginger - 1 tbsp - Chopped

Curry leaves - few

Turmeric - 1 Tbsp

Salt to taste

Preparation :

  • Pressure cook Moong dal, till well cooked

  • Add oil to the pan, add seasoning.
  • Then add ginger, garlic, curry leaves, chillies. Saute well
  • Add tomato to the pan.

  • Then pour the dal into the pan.
  • Add turmeric, salt as required.
  • Garnish with Coriander.
  • Serve it hot.

You can serve this with Chapathi, Poori, Rice, Dosa, Idly.
