The split bean is known as Moong dal. Moong Daal is mainly cultivated in India. It is a tropical crop, require warm temperatures.

Ingredients :
Moong dal - 2 cups
Tomato - 1
Green Chilli - 10
Garlic - 3 cloves
Ginger - 1 tbsp - Chopped
Curry leaves - few
Turmeric - 1 Tbsp
Salt to taste
Preparation :
- Pressure cook Moong dal, till well cooked
- Add oil to the pan, add seasoning.
- Then add ginger, garlic, curry leaves, chillies. Saute well
- Add tomato to the pan.
- Then pour the dal into the pan.
- Add turmeric, salt as required.
- Garnish with Coriander.
- Serve it hot.
You can serve this with Chapathi, Poori, Rice, Dosa, Idly.
