Banana Chips

Banana chips are deep-fried or dried slices of banana. They can be fried in oil and spices. They can be covered with sugar or honey to have a sweet taste.

Main ingredient : Valaikai/Plantain

Ingredients :

Valaikai - 2 medium size

Chilli powder - 1 Tsp

Turmeric - 1 Tsp

Oil to fry

Salt to taste

Preparation :

  • Peel the plantain.
  • Heat the oil to fry
  • Slice the plantain directly into the oil, deep fry it.

  • Strain the oil and add chilli powder, turmeric and salt. (when it is hot)

Serve with rice, or as a snack.
