SPECIAL MIXTURE
This is a type of snack, that is a mix of 5 to 6 items or even more. Main in the mixture is kaaboondhi and omapodi.

Main Ingredient : Besan Flour

Ingredients for Kaaraboondhi :

Besan flour - 1 cup

Salt a pinch

Asafoetida a pinch

Oil to fry


Preparation :



  • Heat the pan with 2 cups of saffola oil.
  • Mix the flour with water, a pinch of salt and asafoetida.
  • The batter should be in a buttermilk consistency.

  • Pour the batter through the boondhi karandi, fry till it is crisp.
  • Keep it aside.
Ingredients for Omapodi :

Besan flour - 1 cup

Asafoetida a pinch

Chilli powder - 1 tsp

Salt to taste

oil to fry.

Preparation :

  • Mix all the Ingredient with little amount of water to make a nice dough. Like a chapathi dough.
  • Heat the pan, with oil to fry.
  • Take the muruku press and you can make little balls out of dough and put inside.
  • Press directly into the oil, to make omapodi
  • Keep it aside.

Ingredients for Mixture :

Kaaraboondhi - 2 cups

Omapodi - 2 cups

Banana chips - 1 cup(sliced and fried)



Peanuts - 1 cup(fried)

Cashew nut - 1 cup(fried)

Curry leaves - 1/2 cup(fried)

Aval - 1 cup(fried)

Porikadalai - 1 cup(fried)

Red chilli - 2 (fried)



Preparation :

  • In a big bowl, add everything and mix it up.
Serve as a snack.
