PANEER MASALA

Paneer masala is probably the most popular curry found in all over India. First, the cottage chees is prepared in the traditional method. The dish is usially vegetarian. It is usually served with as Indian type of bread. It is served as a North Indian food. The dish may be garnished with cream or coriander leaves.

Main Ingredient : Paneer
Ingredients :

Paneer - cubbed - 2 cups
Heavy cream - 1 cup
Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric - 1 tbsp
Jeera - 1 tsp
Sombu 1 tsp
Star anise - 1
Bay leaves - 1
Cloves - 2
Cilantro - to garnish
Oil to saute
Salt to taste
To grind :
Tomato - 1 cup (chopped)
Onion - 1 cup (chopped)
Ginger garlic - 1 tbsp(chopped)
Cashew - 5
Green chilli - 2

Preparation :
  • Heat a pan, add oil. First fry cubbed paneer. And take it out of the pan in a tissue.
  • Then add little more oil, add all spices above. Then the ginger garlic chopped.
  • Add the paste which is ground, then the chilli powder, turmeric. Let it boil.
  • Add paneer to the boiling pan.
  • Then add the heavy cream to the pan.
  • Add salt to the gravy.
  • Garnish with cilantro, you can add cashews too(optional)
Serve it hot with roti, naan, fried rice.
