COCONUT RICE
Coconut rice is a dish by cooking white rice and adding coconut flakes with some spices and seasoning. It is usually made by cooking rice and mix separately and then mixed. Very famous in South India

Main Ingredient : Rice and coconut

Ingredients :

Cooked rice - 4 cups

Coconut grated - 1 cup

Peanuts - 1/2 cup

Curry leaves few

Red chilli - 4 nos

Ginger chopped - 2 tbsp

Cashew - 10 nos

Seasoning - mustard and urud dal - 1 tbsp

Salt to taste

Oil - 2 tbsp

Preparation :

  • Heat the pan, add oil.
  • Add seasoning, curry leaves.
  • After it is done, now you can add peanuts and cashews to the pan.
  • Add the coconut gratings in the pan. Fry for few mins then turn off the heat.
  • Now add the mix to rice and blend it gently. Add salt
Serve it hot with porikadalai thuvayal.
