SAKKARA PONGAL
It is a popular rice dish in South India. Very sweet and is very popular in Temple as a prashadam, offered to God. It is also preparaed on Pongal festival in South India actually in Tamil Nadu

Main Ingredients : Jaggery and Rice.

Ingredients :

Jaggery - grated 2 cups

Rice - cooked 1 cup

Ghee - 1/2 cup

Cashew - 1/2 cup

Cardamom Crushed - 1 tbsp

Preparation :

  • Pressure cook rice. Cook well.
  • Heat a pan with ghee. Then add cashew and cardamom. Let it brown.
  • Take out cashews in a bowl. Now add rice to the pan and grated jaggery to it.
  • Let the jaggery melt and mix well with rice. Now add cashew and cardamom to it.
Serve it hot.
