RAVA KESARI

It is a sweet dish made with ravai or semolina or sooji. It is very simple dish

Cuisine : South Indian

Preparation time : 10 mins

Cooking time : 5 mins

Main Ingredients : Ravai

Ingredients :

Ravai - 2 cups

Ghee - 1 cup

Sugar 2 cups

Cardamom powder - 1 tsp

Food color - orange optional

Cashew nut - 1/2 cup

Raisins - 1/2 Cup

Preparation :

  • In a kadai, add ghee.
  • Then add roast cashew and raisin. Let it turn brown.
  • Now add ravai and roast well.
  • In another pan, pour water and boil it.
  • When rava turns into light brown, pour the hot water.
  • In few mins it will get cooked. Keep stirring.
  • After rava is fully cooked, add sugar to the pan. Keep stirring.
  • Add little more ghee.
Serve it hot.
