ULLUNDHA PARUPU SADAM

Ullundha parupu sadam is one of my favorite rice, my aachi used to make it,  we can make red chili thuvayal and eat with the rice. Oh my god it will taste really awesome.  And health wise it is so good too. It is so good for bones. Incorporating with rice is the best choice. Fir kids you can name it as black rice and give them. Avial will go well with this rice. One of most common rice in south India.

Preparation time : 10 mins

Cooking time : 20 mins

Course : Main

Main Ingredients : Rice and Ullundhu

Ingredients :

Rice - 2 cups

Ullundhu - 1 cup

Coconut - shredded 1 cup

Salt to taste

Preparation :

  • In a Electric rice cooker add rice and dal after you wash. Add 7 cups of water.
  • When it is done add salt and coconut
Serve it with chutney and appalam.
