CARROT KHEER

It is like a payasam. It can be taken after the meal or alone as a sweet.

Preparation time : 10 mins

Cooking time : 20 mins

Course : Main

Main Ingredient : Carrot

Ingredients :

Carrot - 4 cups peeled and cubed

Cashew - 1/2 cup

Milk - 2 cups

Sugar - 2 cups

Water - 1 cup

Cardamom - 2 crushed

Preparation :

  • Boil carrots and cashew. cook well
  • Grind into fine paste adding milk to it.
  • Add the paste in to a pan and stir it for a while
  • Add cardamom and sugar to the kheer.
  • Cool it.
Serve it cold. Garnish with Sliced almonds or saffron.
