MODHAGAM

It is a popular sweet made with rice flour, jaggery, grated coconut. This sweet is done for Lord Ganesha. It is like a sweet Dumpling.

Main Ingredients : Rice flour, Channa dal, Jaggery, Grated coconut.

Ingredients :

Channadal - 1 cup

Grated coconut - 1/2 cup

Jaggery - 1 cup

Rice flour - 2 cups

Cardamom - 2 nos

Preparation :

  • Pressure cook channa dal.
  • Grind the cooked channa dal, coconut and cardamom.
  • Mash the jaggery and blend the mix well to it.
  • Now make a dough out of Rice flour add little water to it.
  • Now make small balls out of dough, Then stuff the mix into it.
  • Steam the modhagam. It can be in Many shapes as in the image.
Serve it hot.
