Main Ingredients : Ravai and Moong dal

Ingredients :

Roasted Ravai - 1 cup

Moong dal/ pasi parupu - 1 cup

Green chilli - 5

Black pepper - 2 tbsp

Jeera - 2 tbsp

Cashew nut - 1/2 cup

Curry leaves few

Ginger chopped - 2 tbsp

Ghee - 1/2 cup

Salt to taste

Preparation :
  • Pressure cook Dal with 2 cups of water, till the texture is smooth.
  • Heat the pan, add 1 tbsp of Ghee, then add jeera, ginger, chilli, black pepper, cashew nut and curry leaves. Saute well.
  • Add the cooked dal in the pan. Mix well.
  • Add required water, when it starts to boil add the ravai and mix it well.
  • Add salt, keep stirring without making lumps. It will be done in 5 mins.
  • Add ghee. Serve hot.

Serve hot with sambhar, chutney, vadas.
